For T-SIM Service Department to provide a quote, we need 3 things:
1- The basic information (below).
2- CAD Data or a detailed 2D Process file (See CAD Data FAQ).
3- Any additional information or specific request.

To enter a new quote into our system, we only need the basic information (8 fields total).

Before we start the project (after we receive a PO), we need to confirm a few more things to ensure we are all of the same page.
Casting Status
CAD Status
Everything else is optional but can be very helpful for our team to make decisions that are appropriate for the project.
It is the responsibility of T-SIM service department to work closely with stamper suppliers to help the production facilities reach their individual project goals. That includes project setup, production SPM, and of course meeting design and build timelines.
In order to accomplish this, we ask that RFQ information be filled out to the best of your ability, so we have proper information to make decisions that will ensure the design process can be completed on time.
RFQ Form Definitions:
Customer Name (Company):
- The name of the company that will be receiving the estimate and issuing the PO for service.
Customer Job Number:
- The job identification number that will be used to track this project in your organization. We will include this number in all correspondence relating to this project.
Primary Contact Name (if different than customer)
- This is the person we will send the estimate to and reach out to for any questions regarding this project. Primary contacts will always be included in deliverable emails for T-SIM corrective action reports.
Primary Contact Email
- Email address for the primary contact.
Primary Contact Phone
- Phone number for the primary contact.
Stamper:
- The name of the company (stamper) that will be running production with this specific tool.
Plant/facility:
- The specific facility that will run production (If the stamper has more than one facility where they run transfer projects), typically a city, state (or country) name.
Primary Press Name:
- The specific press that this project will run in (primary press).
Secondary Press Name:
- If we are providing backup press settings or a full simulation for a backup press, please include a note in the special instructions.
Tool Type (New Tool or Existing Tool)
- Is this a new tool or existing tool? A new tool has never run production. It may be designed only (not built yet), partially built, or just finished getting built. Regardless, all new tools must have CAD data that is an exact match to the tool. Existing tool is defined as a fully built tool that has already been launched and ran production at the stamper.

- Are the tool castings in Design, or in Pattern, or already Cast or N/A not applicable (if plate style tooling)?

- Is the CAD status ready for simulation or a draft for quoting purposes only?
